Daughter on Demand
Daughter on Demand

Manhattan · aging in place · on your own terms

Staying unmistakably you.

“This isn't work you'd hand off to just anyone. You're getting someone completely trustworthy—someone who could be your own daughter.” Bonnie Levine, Founder

How I work

You stay in charge. I'm just beside you.

Aging in place works best when you stay connected to the life you already enjoy, not confined to it out of necessity. Every decision stays yours — my job is simply to make that possible.

Most clients call me themselves; help works better when it feels like their own decision. If you're calling for a parent, the best first step is often just handing them the phone, or arranging a time to meet in person. From there, we find whatever rhythm fits — weekly, monthly, or built around what's coming up.

Day to day

The everyday things that keep an independent life running

Practical, in‑person help with the parts of daily life that make staying independent possible — from someone who has lived and worked on the Upper East Side for more than three decades.

Financial & paperwork

Reviewing mail, filing claims, keeping bills and records organized and on track.

Health & appointments

Scheduling, attending, and following up on medical visits — someone in the room, if you want me there, to help you take it all in afterward.

Home & errands

Packages, deliveries, and the logistics of daily life in the city.

Projects in the home

The small stuff — too big to handle alone, too small for a contractor. Sourcing a repair, coordinating with building staff, clearing out what's no longer needed.

Technology

Medical portals, insurance claims, a router that won't connect, a remote that won't cooperate — the same kind of help clients once had staff for, simply updated for today's devices.

Trusted referrals

When a longtime housekeeper retires or a doctor moves on, finding who comes next — vetted, not just convenient.

Background

More than companionship — real expertise when it matters

As a non-clinical care manager, I coordinate the practical, administrative and day-to-day support that keeps you independent at home.

Daughter on Demand is run by a former corporate controller with a background in public accounting, auditing, management, and human resources — the kind of expertise most companion services simply don't have on hand.

That means a second, informed set of eyes on a client's affairs — reviewing paperwork before a big meeting, making sense of a confusing bill, working through the administrative side of a health or financial decision. And when schedules conflict, it's never a stranger who steps in — only someone Bonnie has personally chosen.

Bonnie Levine, founder of Daughter on Demand

Why I started this

“My mother didn't need an aide. She needed the friend she didn't have — someone to take her to lunch, take her shopping, get her out into the world.”

My mother lived out of state, in a community built for independent living — she didn't need help with her day-to-day. What she needed was someone to take her to lunch, take her shopping, get her into the world. So I hired a woman to be that person for her — the friend, the aunt, the cousin she didn't have nearby. It changed both of our lives: my visits stopped being about tasks, and started being about joy.

After she passed away, I was at a crossroads, and I knew I wanted to give back the way she had given to us. I'd lived on the Upper East Side since I was twenty‑seven, raising a family and running a business here for more than three decades. Every day I saw what my mother had needed, right outside my door: people living alone who could use someone in their corner. That's how Daughter on Demand started eight years ago.

Let's talk about what would help.

A phone call is the easiest place to start.

Get in touch

I'd love to hear about the kind of support you're looking for.

The easiest way to start is a phone call or an email. If you're reaching out for a parent, it tends to go better when they make this call themselves — or we can arrange a time to meet in person. Daughter on Demand works exclusively with clients in Manhattan.
